Service Description

At Eternal Spring Studio I offer a unique photographic process experience where you can watch your plate take shape from start to finish! You can choose from a tiny gem tintype (locket size), to sizes up to 4x5, 5x7 and 8x10, preserving your memories for years to come. This process is over 100 years old and all chemical, and with my on site darkroom, you can join me and watch the process yourself! This session includes one plate ( size of your choice ) taken in my studio located in Camp Washington Cincinnati, your scan, and a fun experience of enjoying one of the oldest processes of capturing a photo. You can also add on a plate or handmade wooden stand to display your plate at home. Tintype Photography is an all chemical photography process in which you coat a plate with collodion, put into an emulsion of silver nitrate then exposed. The result is a magical portrait that I coat with a varnish and you can keep forever. Experience the art of tintype photography with Eternal Spring Studio.
